AROGYA DADRI PROGRAM

Improving community awareness on maternal and child health and Non-communicable diseases in Dadri block

Improving Convergence of Adolescent Health and Well-being Programs in Uttar Pradesh

In the heart of Uttar Pradesh, Project Utthan is nurturing a generation of healthier, more confident adolescents who are finally finding the courage to dream and decide their own futures. Since 2024, Project Utthan, in partnership with the National Health Mission (NHM), UP, has been working across Barabanki, Bareilly, and Sonbhadra to transform systems, strengthen capacities, and shape policies to create an enabling ecosystem for adolescent well-being.
With support from the Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Community Connect Initiative, Arogya Dadri Phase 1 was launched to bring quality healthcare closer to families in the Dadri Block of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Focused on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and NCDs, the program reached homes and hearts through doorstep counselling, screening camps, and awareness sessions that encouraged families to trust and access public health services.
Frontline health workers and Community Health Officers (CHOs) led NCD screening drives, while mobile medical units and strengthened Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) made healthcare more accessible than ever before. Concluding in July 2025, Phase 1 strengthened village-level healthcare systems, improved early illness detection, and deepened community confidence in government health initiatives.
Building on this foundation, Arogya Dadri 2.0 – Strengthening NCD Care, launched on September 15, 2025, focuses on tackling NCDs across 30 villages in Dadri Block. The second phase continues to empower communities through patient education, lifestyle awareness, and consistent care, ensuring long-term commitment to health and wellbeing.
Together, these efforts are turning awareness into action — creating a stronger, healthier Dadri where prevention begins at home and care is within everyone’s reach.
