In the quiet coastal villages of Chatrapur and Rangeilunda blocks in Ganjam District, Odisha, health is finally finding its way home through “Niramaya Ganjam,” supported by GAIL Gas Ltd.
Launched in November 2025, the project works closely with local government systems to improve awareness on nutrition and non-communicable diseases (NCDs)—especially anaemia, diabetes, and hypertension—among women, adolescents, and senior citizens.
At its heart are health camps that bring screening, counselling, and early detection services to people’s doorsteps as more than 3,500 villagers will directly benefit from 20 camps, held in partnership with frontline workers, including ASHAs, AWWs, and SHG members.
Niramaya Ganjam goes beyond diagnosis—it builds habits for healthier lives. Through 100 Nutri-Gardens and 20 Tiranga Thali demonstration events, families will learn to grow ironrich vegetables in their backyards and to eat balanced meals, thereby turning awareness into action.
